"All dogs are pets, Labs are family."
Okay... I admit I'm partial. I read this quote as a teenager and it has been a favorite of mine ever since. My love affair with Labs dates back to June 11th of 1996. At the ripe old age of 12 I made my first purchase. I'd saved my Christmas money, birthday money, snack money, (you get the picture) and I finally had enough to buy myself a puppy. I wanted a Lab. I thought I was buying a dog, but I later found out that I was buying a best friend. I named her Cloey. She wasn't like any of the other dogs we'd had. She was a LAB. She was smart, loyal, loving, and for lack of better terms... there. She was always there. She rode on the back of my 4-wheeler, she went on horse rides with my dad and I, she went fishing in the boat, camping on the river, rode shotgun when I got my license. She waited on me to get home from prom. She was waiting on me years later when I brought my first born home from the hospital. She was the epitome of a Lab. And I loved her.
I lost Cloey in 2008. Fortunately, there are traits of her in the Labs I love now. My Gabby, Elsa, Anna, and Ava Jane are all descendants of Cloey. These are great dogs. I've had this bloodline since 1996 (that's 5 generations). I am proud of the labs I have produced, and stand behind them 100%. They are loved, and they return love like no other.
We are small hobby breeders located in a tiny Northwest Alabama town. We have been raising Labs at our home since 1997. Southern Bred Labs isn't a kennel, so we will not always have puppies available. For information regarding puppies, click on our "Available Puppies" page.
