Southern Bred Pups:
The Burnetts
The Burnetts
"Dogs are not our whole life,
but they make our lives whole."
but they make our lives whole."
My name is Jana Burnett, and I have been a small hobby breeder since 1997. As a child my father taught me to show love, respect, and compassion to animals. At an early age I learned to nurture baby animals on my parents' small farm. Before long people were bringing me orphaned puppies & kittens to care for. I fell in love with it.
Now, I'm a mother of four beautiful children. I teach 6th grade math and science, and as a hobby we raise puppies. This is a family affair. Our dogs are our pets. At any given moment you can find my children playing with, bathing, grooming, feeding, or napping with our dogs. My husband, Derek, instills the same values in our children as my dad instilled in me. Animals are a blessing, & they should be cared for and loved.
We work closely with our veterinarian to ensure that our puppies are healthy and happy. All of our dogs have been health tested for genetic diseases and mutations that often affect the Labrador community. We are proud to say that all of our dogs are clear of these diseases, are not carriers of these diseases, and thus cannot genetically produce an effected puppy. Our puppies, like our dogs, are treated as members of this family and we expect nothing less for them when they go to their forever homes.
